Welcome to the Warren County SPCA

The Warren County SPCA is a law enforcement agency dedicated to assisting the sheriff and local communities by providing humane law enforcement services to stray, abused and neglected animals, prosecuting cruelty cases and caring, rehabilitating and adopting animals that have been mistreated.

  • We are a 501(c)3 organization that operates as its own entity but contracts with municipalities for animal control services.
  • We as animal control cover all of Warren County for injured and abandoned cats, wildlife as it pertains to rabies exposure, stable welfare checks upon request, and we handle the dog control for the following towns: Queensbury, Lake George, Lake Luzerne, Warrensburg, Thurman and Bolton.
  • We receive about 3,000 calls per year regarding animal control issues. We field calls through our 24/7 hotline which is our answering service 518-793-4048.
  • We adopt out over 100 animals a year, and we use local rescue partners to assist in the adoption of cats due to the overpopulation issue of cats in Warren County. We have working partnerships with HOPE rescue, Northshore Animal League and the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.

“I have had the privilege of working in the same field with Darlene fundraising and Jim getting the word out to the public and can personally tell you they will always go above the call of duty. These men and woman dedicate their lives to these precious fur babies and all they ask for in return is to see that fur baby happy.” – Belinda

“I lost my dog and was from out of town, the SPCA of Warren County went above and beyond to help me find my dog when she went missing in the area. Definitely a great group of people and I am forever grateful for them!” – Shannon

“The SPCA of Warren County is a great group of people working very hard to place animals in great homes. The staff is responsive and caring. The dogs and cats are assessed and care is taken for there to be a good fit. It’s a great place to find your next fur-child and a great group to get involved with on a volunteer basis.” – Andrea
